as opposed to them drilling a hole and pulling it out.is this possible? Its a dent in my door. I can take pictures. I'm too lazy to actually go to a body shop, as I'm usually working during their hours anyways.how much would it cost for something like that?98 4dr honda accord

I've heard of paintless dent repair.. maybe look into that. Hard to say anything without an idea of how big of a dent you're talking about
10/4/2007 12:00:08 PM
its pretty big.there wasn't any paint damage, and it doesnt have to look perfect....[Edited on October 4, 2007 at 12:02 PM. Reason : ill take pics later]

north ridge auto spa on sandy forks has a paintless dent removal guy that comes up there during the week and on weekends randomly, and if he's not there when you go, theyll call him and get him up there. he's with dent wizard i think, or maybe dent doctor.. anyway gave me a very reasonable quote for getting several small door ding dents out of my car.

10/4/2007 12:21:08 PM
I thought that would only work on plastic?
10/4/2007 3:23:26 PM
take a pic... that dent popper thing involving hotglue and screws worked pretty well when my brother used it on my moms continental a few years back
10/4/2007 3:43:44 PM
crappy images. they were from a phone.
10/4/2007 3:47:18 PM
good luck with that
10/4/2007 3:48:07 PM
10/4/2007 3:49:44 PM
im no expert but it looks like a bit much to expect any paintless dent repair to take care of that..
10/4/2007 3:50:24 PM
i just want it pulled out, though.not smooth.I wish i could find an identical door.
10/4/2007 3:52:21 PM
10/4/2007 4:03:42 PM
hit up wesgate imports. they have dentbusters on staff. just call to make sure he is there (he does trips to other places to fix dents also)...as long as there is no paint damage, and as long as you do not mess with it, it should look good
10/4/2007 4:13:36 PM
how much am i looking to pay for such a service?(assuming i go out there on a saturday for him to do this.)
10/4/2007 6:01:57 PM
he will give you a quote and you can schedule it later.
10/4/2007 6:37:05 PM
call ahead to see if he is there on saturday. then go up there and yeah, they will see if its something dent busters can do, if not, there is also a body shop there.
10/4/2007 10:16:11 PM
man, dentbusters ain't gonna be able to do shit with that. look at the fucking crease. that needs a new door skin.
10/4/2007 10:18:35 PM
well hot damn. i just saw those pics.yeah, you are gonna have a hard time trying to convince him to do it.yer gonna need a new door skin.
10/4/2007 11:05:58 PM
^^ he isn't expecting it to look flawless, he just wants it pushed outlearn how to read[Edited on October 4, 2007 at 11:28 PM. Reason : . HONDA PWR]
10/4/2007 11:22:15 PM
If you don't want it perfect, just take a plunger to it.
10/4/2007 11:39:16 PM
i got something similar in the hatch of my GC and never bothered calling the dentless guy. if u dont mind if its isnt smooth im sure he can make it better..at a price. creases are bad and the metal has been stretched so itll never be right without junkin the paint and probably some bondo
10/5/2007 12:29:32 AM
DENTS ARE BATTLE SCARS SON. LEAVE EM THERE.as the great Adam would say: 'GET IT DOUG!!!'
10/5/2007 2:48:22 AM
why not take off the inside panel of the door? can u get to the skin from there? if so take a soft mallet to it and hit it in the center of the creases softly and work the dent out that way.
10/5/2007 8:05:18 AM
^you can, and it will look like absolute crap when he gets down with it.
10/5/2007 9:21:30 AM
which is cheaper:Identical door from a junkyardorNew doorskin + Install + Paint?
10/5/2007 9:34:08 AM
def. another door from junkyard.its not easy taking a doorskin off. (plus who knows what else is messed up with the door)you could possible get a door shell the same color and just transfer all your stuff to it.
10/5/2007 9:56:42 AM
kk.anyone know a hot spot that keeps silver 98 accord doors (junkyard).rocky mount is fresh out.
10/5/2007 10:23:50 AM
car-parts.com is a big directory.city autosalvagelkq
10/5/2007 10:24:56 AM
plunger, if its big enough
10/5/2007 12:16:49 PM
baonest he isnt supposed to get down on his door just softly tap out the dents...
10/5/2007 12:26:26 PM
advance auto parts sells a suction cup dent puller that may take most of that out. You may have to finish up with the hot glue puller and as long as that dent doesn't go over any major creases you should have good success. If all else fails - the suction cup only costs 3 bucks and the hot glue kit only costs 20.
10/5/2007 9:24:19 PM
Pull out the door innards and beat on it with a rubber mallet from inside the door.
10/6/2007 1:03:10 AM
ok go ahead and nigger rig it, then look at it after you are done.you will not like it.unless you dont care how it looks
10/6/2007 8:42:08 AM
just looked at the pics again and seeing that it does go over that crease you're probably better off with a new door like baonest has been saying.
10/6/2007 12:55:38 PM
for real. no way it's going to look any better than it does. like jsmcconn said, the metal has been stretched.[Edited on October 6, 2007 at 1:11 PM. Reason : .]
10/6/2007 1:11:04 PM
if you were broke as a joke, then yeah. you could spend a day and massage the dent out and try to get it as close as possible. but there are alternatives if you can throw some cash down
10/6/2007 1:22:18 PM
just saw a Dent Demolisher van at the grocery boy while i was getting gas i guess if you care enough you could call them for an estimate. van said paintless removal.
10/6/2007 2:43:03 PM
thanks guys.this has been helpful.
10/8/2007 11:30:29 AM
