Ketchup is probably the most general. It tastes good on the most things.

I remember the spaghetti they gave us in high school was basically just noodles and hamburger meat, with a tiny bit of tomato sauce to give the noodles a reddish tint.

I put ketchup, salt, and pepper on there and made it taste like actual spaghetti.

i used to hate mayo with a passion. but after the problems i had last year my taste buds got all screwed up, and started actually liking mayo somewhat.

i will often do the ketchup/mayo combo with things. pretty good stuff although i think it's probably worse for you than any other condiment

If I had to pick just one, probably brown mustard (gulden's and the like). But in general, I'm a condiment-using-fool. The more sauce choices I have, the better.
