thinking about the Vizio VX32Lafter reading about it on avsforum, it seems like the general consensus is that it's an excellent set for the money.. i can get it for around $480.anyone have any objections to this?i know it'll only do 1080i, but i don't need anything more.

I am not aware of any lcd running an interlaced resolution. one would have to assume it's 720p like every other 32" lcd. I'd probably get an olevia over a vizio though, they've always seemed to have better black levels and less motion blur in my personal experience.

i wouldnt buy a vizio for one reason. their remotes SUCK, and it will break, and you cannot get a replacement from Vizio, nor are they compatible with ANY universal remotes.

My dishnetwork universal remote works just fine with mine.

i've got a logitech harmony remote and it seems to work fine on the store modelalso, i looked at the olevia and the vizio side by side, and after tuning the color settings to my liking, the vizio actually looked slightly better with better black definition.

Vizio makes great-looking LCDs.I own an Olevia (32" that they sell at Circuit City), and the picture on it is fantastic, but the remote/responsiveness SUCK big time. You should be able to get a Harmony remote working with ANY infrared source. It can learn commands in 3 different modes, so even if a preset isn't available on their site, you can still teach it damn near anything (including buttons combinations if you're quick enough!)I own a Harmony 676 and 880, and I actually like the 676 better (the buttons on the 880 are pretty rubbish: hard vs soft on the 676)
