I think I need to get a start on these....So out of curiosity, do you put the time and date for the big RBC center thing or the personal handing out of the diploma with your other major people time/date in the announcements?

^^ most departments have a strict limit on the number of people who can attend the smaller graduation (many have a limit of 4). My primary major in CALS had a 4 seat limit, but my double major in COM was in the RBC center directly following graduation. The fall graduation for poultry science majors is in 106 Scott Hall, so something tells me there will be a strict limit via tickets like most departments. In addition, they tend to be in the same place for the spring graduation. Hence, most people send out invites to the larger one since there are no seating regualations. Then you personally extend an invite to whomever you wish to attend the smaller one.http://www.ncsu.edu/registrar/graduation/schedule.html[Edited on October 1, 2007 at 3:57 AM. Reason : .]

the announcements are different than invitationsthe announcements are sent out to everybody you know so you get more presents. I got my announcements from a flyer that was sent to my house. Great annoucement, I was very pleased by it but they sent me so much junk mail.the invitations to the departmental graduation are given out about a month before graduation...in PRTM, we got 5 invitations.
