9/30/2007 1:49:50 AM
do you know which hit im talking about? the guy gets a lob in center of the field while running straight across, .5 seconds after getting the pass he turns into a player whos helmet to helmet hit takes him off of his feet, and layes him out upside down on the ground, leaving him unconscious (and from what i thought, dead)
9/30/2007 1:53:54 AM
I didn't get to see the game
9/30/2007 1:56:26 AM

I agree with^
9/30/2007 2:08:21 AM
the announcer in the box said he has never been so glad to see a player get up after that hit then the one he just saw...the announcer on the field said in all her days of reporting on the sidelines she's never heard a hit louder then this one that just happend...
9/30/2007 2:14:07 AM

9/30/2007 8:08:05 AM
holy shit, I can't believe he RAN off the field!
9/30/2007 8:37:43 AM
I'm still surprised there's no helmet-to-helmet penalty in college football.
9/30/2007 8:44:14 AM
what's the title of it, can't get it to open right on iPhone
9/30/2007 8:50:50 AM

9/30/2007 10:58:23 AM
Someone youtube a clip of the big hit from the State game. It's so fun to watch someone's helmet fly 10 yards.
9/30/2007 11:49:05 AM
Wow that was a hell of a hit.
9/30/2007 11:53:10 AM
meh
9/30/2007 11:56:46 AM
by all rights he should be a quadriplegic
9/30/2007 11:58:28 AM
i can't figure out if you people like to see carnage or not...on one hand you're all "DAAAAMN son you got stood the fuck up", but then if the player is injured the tone quickly changes to how terrible it is, etc.make up your mind - if you really like it, then you should be happy when someone breaks their neck too. but if you don't like it, then stop saying how great a hit was if the guy walks off
9/30/2007 12:01:45 PM
the game requires contact, and the right type of contact takes skill and practice, so to see a good hit (to me) is like seeing a great catch or a great run...regardless of the player receiving im always glad to see good (clean) hits. But no one (i hope) likes to see players get potential career ending injuries
9/30/2007 12:05:56 PM
^^that is one of the dumbest things i've ever read
9/30/2007 12:15:50 PM
They really need a helmet to helmet rule in college football. It won't happen until someone dies or becomes a quad from it.
9/30/2007 12:19:01 PM
^^Not really. They are paired. Do you like it or don't you?
9/30/2007 12:24:43 PM
enjoying good hits != enjoying injuries
9/30/2007 12:28:59 PM
they are not paired, i like to see a good hit, but i do not in any way like to see someone seriously injured
9/30/2007 12:29:31 PM
Sounds like a conflict of interest, in that the hit is the driving force behind the injury. You have some priorities to sort out.
9/30/2007 12:45:11 PM
no you need to stop being an idiot... liking to see an athletic play is not the same as liking to see someone injured
9/30/2007 12:46:47 PM
thats like saying i like to see nascar crashes means i love it when the driver burns alive in the car afterwards
9/30/2007 12:51:03 PM
I only watch NASCAR for the crashes.
9/30/2007 12:51:19 PM
9/30/2007 1:15:25 PM
Not every hit, nay even a nascar crash, need be life threatening to still be entertaining.]
9/30/2007 1:17:48 PM
Football players wear these things they call "pads".these "pads" will protect you from 90% of hits, yes, even the big ones.
9/30/2007 1:18:53 PM
anyone got a vid of the hit?
9/30/2007 1:18:59 PM
I like explosions and mass destruction, but only when nobody gets hurt because that's just crossing the line.
9/30/2007 1:19:06 PM
^^uhh its posted in this thread
9/30/2007 1:19:35 PM
If you don't like explosions you are a queer.
9/30/2007 1:20:47 PM
oh shit
9/30/2007 1:23:30 PM
apples/orangesa hit in football is an intended action that is part of the game.A crash in NASCAR is an unintended action that is part of the "game."--
