I am selling a brand new unopened from Dell: Dell Vostro Laptop.

Here are the components it contains:

1.5 Gb RAM, AMD Mobile Sempron 3500+, ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 (256 Mb
shared memory), integrated wireless, XP home edition, 60 Gb SATA drive,
CDRW DVD ROM, 3 in 1 card reader, modem, ethernet port, 4 USB ports,
PCMCIA slot, headphone/microphone jack, VGA port, 15.4" anti glare screen,
security port, MS Office 2003

...um why is this thing new? how long ago was it purchased? this was low-end a year ago. you can get an inspiron 1501 for $500 new from dell same specs except it has 512MB RAM and Vista. You can then buy the additional RAM for $50 and you have essentially the same computer for $50 less than your asking price.

MS office 2003? that is not offered from dell, is that on the side?
also which vostro is it? 1000, 1400, 1500, 1700?

anyways it is probably worth around $450

furthermore, my dell 1501 bests its specs in every department but RAM and i paid $100 less almost a year ago. and i'd probably HOPE to receive half of the $600 he's asking for on TWWW (wonderful).

Yes you can order MS office from Dell when customizing a business suite notebook. It is $150 extra from Dell.

maybe got a really good deal and trying to sell for a profit. i used to do that with the really good dell deals.

But you can get a Vostro 1500 with a C2D and a not-shared video card for $599. Way bigger HDD too.
