fwiw, VS HD was on at el rodeo last week and they were showing HD bear hunting. so if you REALLY want to see stuff die in high quality, it's your lucky day!
9/26/2007 10:34:02 AM
sweetso long as I get the NLCS in HD & braves games in the future in HD, I'm stoked
9/26/2007 10:48:36 AM
TWC should stick with the HD they have and make it cost less than an arm and a leg. Actually, they should provide more HD and make it cheaper.
9/26/2007 10:59:25 AM
dtv just added 21 new ones this morning.http://www.engadgethd.com/2007/09/26/directv-launches-21-new-hd-channels/
9/26/2007 11:50:27 AM
according to this article, they are adding more channels than just TBS HD, Vs/Golf HD and A&E HD, at least in the Greensboro area: http://www.journalnow.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=WSJ/MGArticle/WSJ_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1173352822091"Then on Oct. 15, a wider expansion will take place, with the addition of WMYV Channel 48, the local MyNetworkTV affiliate, on Channel 531, and the cable channels A&E HD, MTV HD, History Channel HD, CNN HD, Lifetime Movies HD, Food Network HD, Golf Channel/Versus HD, and Universal HD.MTV HD, finally I can watch some HD music videos
9/26/2007 12:29:32 PM
raleigh already has universal hd and what channel is that music one? im pretty sure we already have mtv hd and its not mtv like the channel, its like vh1 and mtv and our channels combined and they just show stupid concerts over and over and overid rather have cnn hd and national geographic hd and science hd and history channel hd
9/26/2007 2:04:52 PM
9/26/2007 2:20:04 PM
9/26/2007 3:40:30 PM
^no, MHD is channel 292...it's music videos and concerts from vh1 and mtvmojo is what used to be IN-HD and IN-HD2and where is this cnn and history stuff being added to raleigh twc listed?
9/26/2007 5:42:35 PM
9/26/2007 6:57:11 PM
Sweet! Now we all can actually see the fucking ball move in the air when the camera guy pans and tracks it... Fuckin' A!
9/26/2007 11:11:48 PM
About time VS HD was added. Hockey in HD = amazing.
9/26/2007 11:49:20 PM
yall sound like some text messaging fools with all these acronyms
9/27/2007 1:58:33 AM
Most of the acronyms are channel names, and that's not unusual. I mean who calls ABC the American Broadcasting Company? Or CNN the Cable News Network?
9/27/2007 8:33:57 AM
9/27/2007 11:02:29 AM
so they added those other 2 to gboro? twc should be the same everywhere, thats why i hate that bullshit
9/27/2007 11:50:19 AM
TBS-HD showing the Rockies/Padres tiebreaker in HD right nowlooks outstanding in Raleigh
10/1/2007 9:20:59 PM
Fuck TWC. Fucking DVR (replacement they gave me 2 days ago because the first one was defective) died right as heroes started. Would neither record nor allow the watching of live TV.
10/1/2007 9:32:39 PM
^Airs again Saturday IIRC
10/1/2007 9:40:39 PM
^Yeah the real issue was the 5 people who came over to watch it. That and the whole paying lots of money for a service I can't use, while they refuse to prorate my bill for the roughly 2 weeks without useable HD cable service.

12/21/2007 8:35:11 PM
bout time. twc better start rapidly adding hd channels if they want to keep me from switching to satellite.
12/21/2007 9:07:46 PM
saweet. i just noticed these like an hour ago.MHD is awesome, too.
12/21/2007 10:30:31 PM
Yeah, was confused when I saw three consecutive rows of "No program Data." in the guide and was pleasantly surprised when turning to the channels. Can't wait to see this in HD:
12/21/2007 11:29:33 PM
mhd is good for like a day...everything on there repeats all the time, theres never new stuff really....so once youve seen the concerts, thats about itnational geographic is cool but the other 2 are pointless
12/22/2007 12:05:47 PM
Off topic, but a quick question that is bugging me...You know the TimeWarner Cable HD on Demand movies? What resolution are they streaming in at? They used to look like ass, but I swear one we rented last night looked like it was full 1080p.Is that even possible?
12/22/2007 12:15:37 PM
I want FSN in HD.
12/22/2007 12:19:00 PM
12/22/2007 12:24:17 PM
^I know nothing about HD formats etc. But they had a 1080p television set, and from what I could tell it didn't look like there was any upscaling.So....excuse my ignorance.
12/22/2007 1:41:44 PM
^^^ FSN is in HD on mojo when they are broadcasting an HD event. I've seen Canes games on Mojo a couple of times but only when it's produced in HD (not all the games on FSN are HD).. I also saw the Stanford-USC game on there once as well. I think they open the channel up during these times as well (I don't subscribe to the HD package)
12/22/2007 6:31:43 PM
catalyst...i dont think twc can stream 1080p stuff to you even if your tv can handle it, the cable boxes dont receive any 1080p signals because there's no channels out there being broadcast in 1080p anyways, so i dont think thats possiblethey probably look better because they are actually using hd formats instead of taking like non-hd recordings and upconverting or something? like older movies?
12/23/2007 11:42:53 AM
if an old movie has been transferred to HD, it should be just as good as a new movie because it is (most likely) being transferred from film to HD -- which is usually exactly what would happen with most new movies as well.
12/23/2007 2:16:48 PM
more HD channels = SDV SDV + tivo =
12/23/2007 2:42:36 PM
Nobody has the bandwidth for 1080p except Verizon...if they offered IPTV....which they don't.
12/23/2007 4:15:48 PM
12/23/2007 4:37:43 PM
with WWE going HD, anyone know if there's a specific USAHD or if they're gonna show it on UniversalHD?I know, it's wrestling, and it "sucks" but I'm a viewer
1/20/2008 4:42:43 PM
usa is not the exact same channel as universalHD...maybe they might but i dont think theres a USA HD channel in existence
1/20/2008 4:44:57 PM
speed is going hd this year... but will twc pick it up as an hd channel ?
1/20/2008 4:45:54 PM
I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally hope so. Otherwise I will switch to the 1st satellite provider that gets it.
1/20/2008 6:30:09 PM
When will Comedy Central be in HD?
1/21/2008 1:24:38 AM
What the hell is this crap I've seen advertised about "Free On-Demand HD content" on TWC? They played an add claiming they had hundreds of on-demand hd shows that were free. Where the hell are they? I've only seen pay-per-view on-demand content from them.
1/21/2008 1:31:05 AM
^I thought the ad said hundreds of free HD shows, not hundreds of free HD on demand shows. I assume they are refering to no additional charge for basic HD programing.
1/21/2008 9:10:09 AM
There is a USA-HD (as well as Speed-HD as of next month)...available on DirecTV. Seriously doubt Raw will show up on UniversalHD at all.As far as wrestling, Smackdown is supposed to go HD as well and will be available on The CW (assuming our local affiliate gets the memo). They used to have free HD on demand stuff, but usually crap like stuff that had aired on TNT recently (commercial filled Lord of the Rings, The Closer, etc).
