how does harpertown win? floating point calcs are much more of a benchmark indicator than integer calcs.

also - we've used and benchmarked both, the barcelonas came out way on top

it's only got 32gb of ram in it right now because that's all i could find

we were going to just order 16 4gb dimms for it, but then my boss had an amazing idea, we're going to order another 6950 with the lowest processor config but with 64gb of ram, swap the ram so the faster 6950 has more ram, put the dual core chips we pulled out of that one into the new one, and i end up with 2 servers - one amazingly super fast, and one that's still fast as hell. all for $2000 more.
