the portal is the tip of the iceberg. it will eventually encompass the entire new student information system (PeopleSoft). the registration and advising pieces will be changing in the next year or so. if you were to look at your personal information (addresses, phones, privacy block) you will see the look of what is to come.

also, the middle wolf in the mypack logo is shaped like a penis.

^^speaking ofsomehow, I'm back in the directory again, and I can't change that
9/23/2007 9:25:23 PM
Same here, I somehow got stuck back into the public directory. This explains why I'm suddenly getting more phone calls at my campus job. Didn't even think about the directory.
9/23/2007 11:03:11 PM
^^ But you can opt out of the directory completely--just not partially, such as listing your home address but not your phone number and so on.

if you can, it's not with privacy settings. That's just to give my parents access to my records.
9/24/2007 7:26:17 AM
^is under privacy settings.
9/24/2007 10:42:07 AM
It hadn't been, as of early last week. One I realized I was in the directory again, I went to go change it, and all that was available was the parental access, and the 'don't release my info to anyone, including anyone wishing to verify my enrollment'When I went to go make a screenshot, it was there on the left. Trust me - I scoured that shit. I was quite displeased to be back in the directory.
9/24/2007 11:42:32 AM
You shouldn't have been back in the directory. Everyone who had any type of block (web, web/directory, or full) should have been migrated to full block since there are no levels of block in the new system. E-mail me and I'll check the details. mailto:nicole_wood@ncsu.eduyou can block your information from being in the directory while still keeping the ability for R&R to verify enrollment without your written permission.to do this, add a privacy block then click the "Release to Publication" link. from that page you can choose to release your information for 4 purposes - enrollment verify, degree verify, grad book, and dean's list.as always - if anyone has questions, just e-mail me.[Edited on September 24, 2007 at 8:57 PM. Some stuff (like Degree Audit) doesn't work in Firefox now either
10/3/2007 5:12:03 PM
we did a major fix 2 weeks ago to fix Firefox. If it isn't working again please e-mail me so I can have the tech ppl check it out.mailto:nicole_wood@ncsu.edu[Edited on October 3, 2007 at 6:35 PM. Reason : :]

I just find MyPack a gazillion times more difficult to navigate than the previous designs.
10/3/2007 6:55:25 PM
Found the problem with Firefox. The subframe where Degree Audit was supposed to load was blank; view source showed an alert box that said the login was refused and to restart the browser. Restarting fixed the problem. Don't know why the alert wasn't popping up though. JavaScript is enabled and I get alerts at other sites.

you didn't fix it, the middle wolf still looks distinctly penisy.
10/3/2007 11:09:27 PM
