Anyone on here taking MB 411? I'm studying for Monday's test right now. After having read the chapters, I finally have a basic idea of what's going on...but have no idea how much detail she wants.Just to clear things up for others...no, Luginbuhl is not teaching it anymore

what are you talking about? it was yesterday.

I took it several falls ago, who is teaching it now?

Penny Pagdett, who works downtown for the NC Public Health Dept and claims to have taught for 19 years previously... before she took the PH job 5 years ago... Personally, I wouldn't have thought she taught a day in her life. It has been an interesting experience thus far... I have no clue what to expect for the test either... and I have BCH 451 right before it

^I'd say that pretty much sums it...For some reason, I keep going to class thinking it's a new day, and things must get better...of course, it never happens

so...the test was much harder than I expected it to be. I have this funny feeling that I knew the answer, but on a lot of questions, I wasn't too sure exactly what answer she was looking for. (especially when she asked for steps or the two/three/four things xyz did) Probably won't help, but I pointed out words in her questions and wrote things about them just to prove I did try....

^I'll take it you didn't enjoy the test very much, either

Eh, I think I did ok, but that's only because I spent the last week with my head in the book, trying to teach myself the relationships between all the various types of immune system cells. The way she teaches is so disjointed and clinical, it's hard to see the big picture from her notes. I made my own study guide from the book and ignored most of her lecture slides.I wish Dr Parks taught this class.

I didn't do as bad as I expected..... I heard that she 'stole' most of the test from Luginbuhl, so if you are a MB 411 alum and have Luginbuhls old med micro tests, please hook us up.... we have nothing to study by and shitty teacherS... anyone remember the quote from the lecture before the test, "If you can't spell the word, then you don't know it" and today Dr. Greene couldn't spell nosocomial infection? Gotta love the double standard

She took a lot from Luginbuhl?! I didn't do nearly as well as I thought. I'd pay someone for some of the old tests! If that test was very much like Luginbuhl's then she was freaking awesome because that means their class actually learned stuff.

My old tests are several states away or I'd try to help you out. I seem to recall Luginbuhl being pretty hard on the spelling for that class as well. Or maybe I'm thinking of Olson and his regulatory metabolism class...
