alan keyes is a smart dude, and he's got a lot of things right, but he's way too damned conservative...

from his website:

...in effect, the war against pornography is a war against that mentality which is creating the fertile ground for the whole crisis of the family, which in the end is the crisis of our whole society.

yeah, that ain't gonna work

Ron Paul
The only one that was, and still is against our troops being in Iraq. And he wants to shrink the federal government.

Ron Paul is the only conservative on the list so that's who I'd vote for if I was a Republican.

I'm not, so I'm voting for Obama.

As it stands I'll probably end up voting for a turd sandwich.

A McCain-Giuliani ticket is what the country needs right now.

McCain is who we've needed since 2000.

2000 was his year, if he ever had one. but he's over now.

way too fucking old, and he's since burned his credibility.

Rudy knows how to court the votes--or pander. Whatever you want to call it, they all do it.

Rudy tells NRA that 9/11 altered his gun views

Quote :
"Rudy Giuliani tried to convince gun owners Friday that he's a new man when it comes to defending their rights -- due in part to 9/11 -- but many here doubted they'd back a candidate they remember as a big-city anti-gun crusader.

Several in the crowd at the National Rifle Association conference said they liked Giuliani's newly stated embrace of the Second Amendment and his belief the nation doesn't need new gun-control laws -- only stricter enforcement of current laws.

He also won points for saying he could no longer support a lawsuit he filed against gun-makers when he was New York mayor -- a dramatic shift from 2000, when he called it a vital tool in cracking down on gun violence. He credited that switch in part to 9/11, saying the attacks cast 'somewhat of a different light on the Second Amendment and Second Amendment rights. It doesn't change the fundamental rights, but maybe it highlights the necessity for them more.'

Giuliani has made his performance after the 9/11 attacks a key part of his presidential campaign, but this was the first time he had linked his personal views on gun control to the terror attacks."

McCain because he does what he believes is right for the country, regardless of its impact on his chances for election

And for those of you who would argue that the same could be said for George Bush, remember he was already in office before he decided to do what he believed was right for the country, i.e. invade Iraq. Basically he had nothing to lose. McCain has everything to lose
