Anyone who has had their drivers licensed renewed in the past year.....

Did you have to take the vision test where you read the letters AND the Road sign Test, or just the Road sign test?

DMV site says both, but people I talk to tell me just the road sign test. I scratched my glasses and just want to hurry up and renew it.

Last time I went in, the DMV employee to the left of me was coaching the woman:

Her: Uh, uh, I'm not sure...I can't really se...
DMV: It's a place where children go, a warning sign...
Her: Oh! Oh! School Zone!
DMV: Excellent!

I went in August. It was both Vision and Signs.

i think if you have the corrective lenses restriction, they usually assume you have the corrective lenses, otherwise you have to take the vision test

They made me read numbers (vision) and identify road signs

I was thinking mine was 2 in 1? I had to look through the little vision machine and identify the road signs that were far away.

Just signs last January.

If I paused to think the guy would answer it for me. I think that I actually named one sign during the renewal process.

I forgot the passing zone sign and he counted it wrong.

In my defense, I haven't seen one of those fracking signs in > 5 years.
