Is there an equivalent to dpreviews.com for video cameras?I'm looking for an HD camera, preferably in the 400-1000 range. I'd REALLY like to get one that can do true 1080p or 1080i/720p that isn't doing garbage up-processing.Personal recommendations are welcome, but I'm really looking for a site that does comprehensive comparisons. And no, cnet does not count.

what types of projects you looking to do with it? or is it just a multi-use kind of deal you're looking for

I'd really like something I can use to start posting instructional videos, animation, and maybe eventually a few short films to youtube/iFilm/my website. Also it'd be nice to finally have a camcorder for family gatherings and vacations/events.I've always told myself to wait for affordable HD, and now it seems to be here. I REALLY want a true 16:9, 1080p camera with a usable 24p mode for film. It seems like all the flash/dvd based HD camcorders use AVCHD which is 1440*1080 instead of 1920*1080 with HDV.But really im just lost, I have no clue what the "best buy" is, or if it worth shelling out twice as much for a pro-sumer camera that will last me longer.
