I'm thinking about getting a new GTi or maybe even an A3.

I have for sale, a very clean, all enthusiast owned, full service/maint history from day 1, lived in RTP all is life, lean mean 1997 BMW 540i six speed sport. Thats 4.4l of german V8 fury. yum. silver on gray. 162k miles.

Highlights:
whole new cooling system
new bushings
brand spanking new brembo rotors and Hawk HPS pads
OEM M5 shocks
M5 rear sway bar
late model sport wheels w/ new Falken FK452 tires. 245s front, 265s rear.
no missing dash pixels!! (whole unit replaced about 30k ago)
I can maybe throw in a nicely integrated ipod adapter that shows text on the display and allows steering wheel control, etc.

She purrs like a kitten. $10k obo

^radiator cracked on optimus. everything else replaced w/ it preemptively. Car never overheated or anything.

Every known problem/maint-at-age item has been covered. it is a solid car.
