I got a $100 best buy gift card and I'll trade someone $100 for it since I can't redeem the card for cash. I don't really shop at best buy and would rather use the money to pay rent.
9/13/2007 5:34:11 PM
you aint gona get $100 for it on wolfweb
9/13/2007 5:40:12 PM
How is this of any benefit for whoever would want the card? They might as well go to Best Buy and drop a hundred bucks. It would save them the trouble of having to get the card from you. You might want to knock at least $5 off of your asking price to make it worth their while.
9/13/2007 5:40:36 PM
50 bucks
9/13/2007 6:05:04 PM
i don't even think $5 off is worth time and gas got to be more
9/13/2007 6:06:39 PM
that's ridiculous. everyone shops at best buy, unless you are poor. And poor people don't have $100 gift certificates to best buy. Obv a scam.
9/13/2007 6:49:23 PM
$60
9/13/2007 6:49:44 PM
ill go 70
9/13/2007 6:53:37 PM
1) I'm only asking for the slim to none chance that there's someone on here about to drop $100 anyways at Best Buy and just trading $100 for $100.2) I don't see what your concern is over time/gas. I can either bring you the card or meet you somewhere on campus after you get out of class. You don't have to do anything, lazy ass.3) I'm a college student, your "poor" statement is irrelevant here. I'd rather use the money for rent.4) I'm just throwing this out there to see if I could get a trade; I can get by without the $100 and if anything I could hold on to this forever because there is not an expiration date on the card.[Edited on September 13, 2007 at 8:29 PM. best you can hope for is $85 or soand even then the buyer should require that you meet them at best buy at the time of purchase...which is a pain in the ass for them
9/13/2007 11:38:13 PM
you'd be better off standing outside best buy, looking for someone who is about to buy something. or better yet go inside and find someone who is standing in line to buy some expensive stuff
9/13/2007 11:45:31 PM

I'll trade you your $100 BB gift card for another $100 BB gift cardhow about that
9/14/2007 1:12:41 AM
$72
9/14/2007 1:20:03 AM
ill trade you a ps2 for that gift card
9/14/2007 3:42:21 AM
^aw yeah, playing games is much better than paying rent... but what the seller means is that you'll also get a nice piece of plastic along with $100 credit if you're going to use it at best buy anyways.a really easy way to solve this problem is to trade it for a rent gift card.....but seriously, i'd go about it this way:ask if anyone wants to buy something at best buy for something that's worth at least $100. Tell them that you'll buy it for them, and they pay the amount shown on the receipt. That way, you get $100 out of that card and people want to do it if they're too lazy to go to best buy.
9/14/2007 4:14:53 AM
^genius.
9/14/2007 6:44:37 AM
Or just meet in a computer lab, check the balance together, and make a deal.
9/14/2007 7:26:31 AM
^ I'd rather meet at the time of purchase (in case the card/number can be used online)...but thats just me.
9/14/2007 8:14:02 AM
75
9/14/2007 8:34:40 AM
$115.00
9/14/2007 9:27:40 AM
^^^^^ winnarit lets someone be lazy while you pick up their stuff for them. although for anything over $100 i think i'd want to see it in person before i buy it...
9/14/2007 9:27:52 AM
If someone buys it from you they are stuck with it...meaning if they return whatever they bought with it, it goes back on the card.

Couldn't the OP just purchase something from Best Buy and then return it for a cash refund?
9/15/2007 12:04:13 AM
^ answer is ^^^^
9/15/2007 5:56:47 AM
seriously the only way you will get a full 100 is if you go to best buy, stand at the registers and wait for someone paying "cash" for something at least a 100. however you look at it, show a little class and just take the highest serious bid here and STFU!
9/15/2007 11:06:22 AM
$80. i would take it and run.
9/15/2007 4:29:25 PM
Since you didn't pay for the $100 gift card, you can't see any reasonable offer as a loss.
9/15/2007 5:10:18 PM
^ I assume you haven't had an economics class. It's a loss if he takes less than the fair market value for the card.
9/15/2007 7:32:26 PM
fair market value is <$50
9/15/2007 7:53:49 PM
^^1st, we don't do "fair market value" on thewolfweb2nd, it's all about his "loss" being our gain3rd, i am expecting any moment now a post (= made up story) from him saying how he sold the card for exactly what he wanted
9/15/2007 9:00:56 PM
$85 my final offer
9/15/2007 10:53:26 PM
^take it and runactually, he's probably already been evicted so it doesn't matter
9/16/2007 3:00:02 AM
iLL PAY $50
9/16/2007 4:33:19 PM
9/16/2007 6:22:15 PM
$85
9/17/2007 2:38:04 PM
I'll pay you "$115 BUCKS" if you deliver.
9/17/2007 3:17:38 PM
$107 and I'll come get it, so it should be a better deal than ^ with the gas prices these days!
9/17/2007 3:19:38 PM
I'll pay you $105 dollars cash maney if you meet me at Best Buy.
9/17/2007 5:24:58 PM
if this gift card works at the best buy on capital, i'll give you $150.
9/17/2007 7:59:09 PM
How about $90? Else I'm just going to buy a new mp3 player online with it.
9/17/2007 11:39:39 PM
seriously though, I'll give you $60 for it
9/18/2007 12:53:36 AM
someone offered 5 bucks less than what you are offering nowyou are a terrible business person, never go into sales
9/18/2007 1:04:34 AM
...and this card has a monetary value of $100. This isn't some couch I'm selling. By letting it go for $10 less that's still a great deal. Hell you can order something online with the damn thing and not even travel to the store. This is basically someone paying less cash now for more cash, if they like shopping at BestBuy. They're getting $100 for $90.Hell, someone could even paypal me the money and I'll give you the card id and security code on the phone. No travel expenses at all. Geeze, I was just being nice and seeing if I could get rid of the card if someone was going to buy something at the store anyways. I might as well just use the bloody thing.
9/18/2007 2:28:30 AM
sure it has a monetary value of $100, but as you can see, thats not the cash value. And screw fair market value
9/18/2007 9:33:56 AM
I did offer to sell it at a discount, learn to read.
