go to the library and study, don't leave an option open to use the computers either.

heh, that doesn't work so well when you have to use matlab

Just set your mind to it, if that's possible.I never had to leave my own room (like escape to the library), I would just tell myself to get something done, do it, and then enjoy the reward of being done.Sort of Pavlov's dog trick on myself, if that makes sense.

I never did figure it out which is why I got my math classes over with as fast as possible. Every other class you're good if you go to class and take notes and study a little bit for the tests...except english I guess... in which case you wait till the night before to write the paper, then stress helps you come up with enough bs.

Ive heard adderall works - I asked my doctor to put me on something to help me focus and he put me on ritalin to start out, which he was afraid of doing because he knows I dont have ADD - hasnt worked a damn bit though, just makes me sick to the stomach[Edited on September 13, 2007 at 12:01 PM. I have the same problem.Lately I've been trying to have my homework in front of me, and then doing one non-homework related thing. Say watching tv, or posting on tww. At some point (hopefully after no more than 10-15 minutes) that one thing is going to start boring you, until the only thing left to do is open up your book and do a few problems. Then I go back to what I was doing to begin with. It takes a little longer than if I was completely focusing on my homework, but let's face it, not everyone has that power of concentration. I actually get more work done this way, than if I sit there staring at my book, resenting the fact that I still have 20 problems left to do and I've already been sitting there for half an hour.[Edited on September 13, 2007 at 12:08 PM. ^^^you should ask to try strattera, since it's not a stimulant (ie has a low risk of abuse) he'll probably be more apt to give it to you than adderall. i tried it once and thought it worked pretty well, but it made me sleepy all the time
