9/12/2007 11:38:10 AM
at least he got a job that pays more than bojangles
9/12/2007 11:40:57 AM
9/12/2007 11:42:55 AM
what a waste of talent
9/12/2007 11:44:18 AM
here is my list of the most dominant college players I have ever seen (not saying they had the best career, just saying that the particular time(s) I saw them play, they couldn't be stopped)1. Herschel Walker2. Calvin Johnson3. Bo Jackson4. T.A. as a freshman5. Robert Edwards
9/12/2007 11:49:35 AM
well he's apparently still slingin like he was in college...too bad he isnt still playing like he was in college
9/12/2007 11:54:03 AM
the officer said "hand over your license". TA being TA, he dropped it.
9/12/2007 11:54:19 AM
ZING!
9/12/2007 11:56:57 AM
That would be typical TA dropping his license
9/12/2007 11:58:16 AM
he could've played in Canada, Europe, or the indoor league.are there sports agents that serve the smaller markets? what are athlete salaries like in the lower leagues?
9/12/2007 12:04:13 PM
9/12/2007 12:04:23 PM
I'd easily put Torry Holt over Calvin Johnson
9/12/2007 12:11:25 PM
^^ no way, i saw Bush stopped before if teams really wanted to... he was too much nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, HUGE PLAY, nothing, nothing^ same thing with Holt, very good, very prolific, but not unstoppable
9/12/2007 12:17:41 PM
Calvin Johnson wasn't unstoppable either
9/12/2007 12:20:24 PM
when ball got calvin the ballhe was unstoppable
9/12/2007 12:22:05 PM
the only thing that stopped Calvin Johnson from being unstoppable was Reggie Ball not being able to pass within 10 yards of him. Calvin Johnson had to act like spiderman to reel in some of the errant passes thrown his way..
9/12/2007 12:23:56 PM
i dont see how he was any more unstoppable than Torrywas Jamie Barnette the best QB ever?]
9/12/2007 12:26:38 PM
^^^ and ^^ exactlythere were plays where EVERYONE knew where the ball was going, he was double or tripled teamed, and still scored^ you could scheme to take holt out... that might leave the rest of the team open, but nonetheless you could stop holt if you really wanted to... with Johnson you couldnt do shit except fuck Ball up[Edited on September 12, 2007 at 12:28 PM. 9/12/2007 12:27:13 PM
9/12/2007 12:29:22 PM
cause he wasnt... he was good, really good, and had amazing stats, but not as dominant as Calvin Johnson in college. This isnt about stats
9/12/2007 12:36:18 PM
how was he any more dominant than torry? if you're saying its not about stats, how are you going to claim calvin was more dominant? just by saying "Calvin was more dominant"? Ok "Torry was more dominant"[Edited on September 12, 2007 at 12:40 PM. Reason : .]
9/12/2007 12:37:54 PM
Charles Rogers was the only receiver in the same league as Calvin Johnson in college in the past decade.Torry was good, but if this wasn't an NCSU board, he wouldn't even be in the conversation.Don't be a homer.
9/12/2007 12:40:47 PM
9/12/2007 12:42:30 PM
its too bad calvin johnson couldnt beat State 2 years ago...but I'm sure that was Ball's fault[Edited on September 12, 2007 at 12:43 PM. Reason : i disagree]
9/12/2007 12:43:04 PM
it was Garland Heath's fault
9/12/2007 12:44:16 PM
9/12/2007 12:46:57 PM
9/12/2007 12:47:38 PM
^amato schemed JOHNSON...why would amato scheme somebody on his own team (and yeah Mike O'Cain coached Torry)??]
9/12/2007 12:48:18 PM
9/12/2007 12:51:05 PM
9/12/2007 12:51:16 PM
^^their memories probably only go back 2 years like yours appears toand Mike Williams was the most dominant college receiver in the last 5-10 yearshey how come Georgia Tech is even better this year WITHOUT Johnson?^i guess a 1 year career is still a career[Edited on September 12, 2007 at 12:53 PM. Reason : .]
9/12/2007 12:53:00 PM
6-foot-5, 240 pounds, runs a 4.3 in the 40, amazing hands, runs perfect routes.God dammit, you still dont understand what I am talking about...It has nothing to do with stats, or how the team did, it has to do with the players that you would attempt to stop them from doing what they wanted to do and you just couldnt. Once again, Robert Edwards had shitty stats, played for Georgia when they were average to slightly better than average, but none of that has anything to do with how dominant he was the first time he played (before he got hurt)[Edited on September 12, 2007 at 12:55 PM. you keep dismissing stats as if they are insignificant...btw what great ACC defenses did Calvin Johnson dominate?i cant stand calvin johnson dickriders, so homosexual^^too bad the knicks still couldnt win a title...the name Ewing theory is retarded[Edited on September 12, 2007 at 12:59 PM. Reason : .]
9/12/2007 12:57:01 PM
Torry wasn't even the best WR on the field against Florida StateA certain Dillard's 'customer' held that honor
9/12/2007 12:59:44 PM
^4 they played one of the worst ND teams ever and Samford... we'll see if they're better or not.[Edited on September 12, 2007 at 1:02 PM. Reason : x]
9/12/2007 1:01:51 PM
Torry was just as stoppable/unstoppable as Laverneus
9/12/2007 1:02:51 PM
^^^^ not a dickrider, just being objective, which you cant dodo I like Peyton? yesdo I hate Danny Wuerffel? yeswho was more dominant in college? Wuerffel its not that hard[Edited on September 12, 2007 at 1:03 PM. Reason : d]
9/12/2007 1:02:54 PM
i didnt know Calvin led his team to a national championship like Wuerffel did, thanks for changing my mind
9/12/2007 1:04:32 PM
ok, you are just trolling now. You usually arent this stupid.. I already mentioned record has nothing to do with it. If it did, Jay fucking Barker would be one of the top 5 most dominant QBs ever.
9/12/2007 1:05:40 PM
9/12/2007 1:06:27 PM
you're the one trolling to not even have Reggie Bush on your listhe's probably one of the most dominant college players everyou saw Bush stopped and I saw Johnson stopped<,/]
9/12/2007 1:06:47 PM
^hahahawasnt Coles already kicked off by then? I think Warrick was just suspended for a game[Edited on September 12, 2007 at 1:07 PM. Reason : f]
9/12/2007 1:07:26 PM
calvin johnson was the greatest college wide receiver i've ever seen
9/12/2007 1:11:23 PM
but but but he didnt play for State!!! so theres NO WAY thats true!
9/12/2007 1:12:53 PM
Reggie was great and should be in the top 5 on most people's list. But he wasn't dominant in the sense that he carried his team like Herschel, Ricky Williams or Adrian Peterson did.Dominance is 6-7 yards EVERY carry, not an average of 6-7 resulting from several 40 yard runs and a whole lot of 1-2 yard runs.I'd rather watch Reggie Bush play than any of the aforementioned, but I'd rather have any of the aforementioned if I was building a team.
9/12/2007 1:13:33 PM
yeah, TA was pretty good his freshman year.wha' happened?and this Holt v. Johnson debate is a little ridiculous. Johnson ftw.[Edited on September 12, 2007 at 1:15 PM. Reason : .]
9/12/2007 1:13:55 PM
I think Rocket Ismail was pretty dominantand lol at the chuckleheads still taking a shit on Mike Williams...is USC too far west for you guys to follow?Williams > Holt, Johnson, etc]
