My bet is that it's pretty close.Take a look at the itemization. Does it include panel replacement? Should also include the labor for removing and installing the panel, body prep, painting, and blending into the surrounding areas.Though the dent may not LOOK that bad, keep in mind that most manufacturer-authorized repairs specify replacement of the body panel if any significant distortion of the panel is present. That includes any creasing or stretching of the metal (which occurs in all but the mildest dents). Working a panel with a dent puller, tapping hammers, dollies, and finishing with body plastic is a very time-intensive operation, and the results are often not perfect. It's much simpler to replace the panel, and the labor is a lot easier to calculate (because the operation doesn't have nearly as many variables as far as time and finishing to spec goes).

You drive an '07 Z-71 but you want a cheap repair...You will reget that once it look like junk. That said, the sheet metal on the bed of the new GM trucks is real thin, it pretty much has to be replaced if it gets dented. I would reccomend RJ & G on Western, they seem to know whats goin on.

If you owe money on it, then you really should get it done right, not just cheap. For one, you're required to repair to specifications any collision damage so as to maintain the collateral value of the vehicle. That's why you're required to carry collision insurance on a vehicle on which a financial institution has a lien.
