okay, had my car checked out at the mission valley 6...a/c compressor is badis $600 about right for the part AND installation? i mean, the compressor is about $340 after tax...$260 seems like a lot for installation

i would assume so...i spoke with tommy (as suggested in the other thread) and i asked him how much it would be to get it all taken care of...he said $600 out the door

so they aren't going to replace the receiver dryer/flush out the lines??seems like you would want to do that to keep things proper.

i had this looked at last night.they wanted $1200 out the door.replace compressor, receiver dryer, flush out the lines, recharge, etc...[Edited on September 11, 2007 at 10:21 AM. Reason : you still haven't mentioned what year/make/model your car is.]
