This has been done before, I'm sure, but I cant seem to find any examples of it. I'm taking a friend out tonight to a bar and we're looking for a place that's not so crowded and has some stuff to pass the time, like darts or something. Drink specials would be a plus, or places that had pitchers or something. Appreciate any suggestions you may have, as I have no clue where to go because I always drink at home by myself

If you aren't looking to pick up bar skanks then go to Cary. Lots of places like you're describing, Mack's, Harrison's, etc.

I hope you have some money to waste... drinking at home is the best way to go, imo. You would spend far less to invest in a dart board, some variety in music and a pool table off of Ebay than to drink in bars for the next several years. Of course I'd have to whip a calculator out but that's at least what I see in my mind.

Hey I just heard about a website with a bar search engine called raleighbarhopper.com , they have a cool specials section too that tells you all the specials for that day at all the bars in raleigh, it sure saves me time and money.

I've always liked Harrison's in Cary. Pool tables, a dart board or two, plenty of beers on tap, decent/good food, usually not too crowded.

Champions has darts & pool closer to campus, but it's been crowded & smoky every time I've been there.

All the sportsbars will be showing Monday Night Football if you're a fan. Also shouldn't be too hard to find drink specials on a Monday night....can't help with where though.
