Do any of you have problems with Macs not reading PDFs with Adobe Reader? I am trying to troubleshoot why only Mac users are having trouble filling in form fields on a PDF when Windows users have no problems at all.

your Mac users are probably using Preview to view the PDFs. That's the built-in PDF viewer for Mac. Generally, there is no need to install Acrobat or Acrobat Reader on Mac. i don't recall how Preview handles PDF forms by default, but it looks like you can activate the form fields if they are created properly

They're having problems because they're using Adobe Reader.

did a google search for "example pdf form". opened in safari, immediately started typing input.no Reader needed.this points me to believe there is either a poorly created pdf form involved, or users that don't know what they're doing either way. my vote goes to the former.just out of curiosity, could you post the form that they're having problems with?[Edited on September 5, 2007 at 2:09 AM.
