Looking for something capable of 1600x1200 or better 17" or bigger.I'd really like to find one of the old dell 17" that they used to have in the computer labs b/c I already have one of those and it would be nice to have a matching set...OR 2 sun 21" beasts that are floating around from the surplus...but I'll take anything 17"+ with a good resolution...(btw when is the next surplus sale?)

I second checking out the surplus this Friday. That's where I got two 21" Sun's for $1 each. Make sure you get there early...I mean, like 7:30 at the latest. All the old guys get there at the asscrack of dawn and run in like a bunch of rabid starving animals to get at this stuff - it's really sad to watch, but you have to be quick if you want any of the good stuff. It's open for viewing on Thursday, so you may want to go and find what you want, then hide it or remember where it is, so that you can beat the rabid geeky old guys to it.

^^ I've got an 8am t-th so I can only make the tail end of the preview... but I KNOW I'll be there friday at the butt crack of dawn to try to get 2 21"s... I can't deal with 1600x1200@60Hz... and I'm having serious difficulties working with 1280x1024... but I'm dealing with what I have... ^unfortunately $20 is what I eat on for a week... so while in the terms of that monitor it is "really cheap" by my definition it's outside of "really cheap"... thanks for letting me know though.
