Going there next weekend, anybody knows good places to eat? Mainly looking for seafood, but other stuff will be considered also.

you might be talking about angelos^^ angelos down in south myrtle (a few miles down from the pavilion on the left if you're coming from the north) is awesomee. they have THE best steak i've ever had. 8 oz petite ribeye. along with salad and two sides. go there before 6 and you can get the early bird special. you will not regret it, promise

Sea Captain's house - maybe my favorite restaurant of alltime. Best seafood ever.

I'm on my way back right now. We ate at Mammy's Kitchen. It was great... The only seafood I eat is crablegs so it worked out good because they have a country (all kinds of chicken +ribs) and seafood buffet for $14, then you can add on all you can eat crablegs for $7. (they were awesome)

haha this thread could go on foreveronvm he said seafood. angelos is great just like maverick said.

pier 14 is pretty good

the place mildew is talking about is typical. if you want buffet go to benjamins. its far better than the rest. it looks like a huge ship on restaurant row with a bunch of buoys in the parking lot. Its like 26.95 but they have great prime rib and like a million other items on the buffet.

Ah... my hometown. Some good suggestions in here...

Seafood Hut is awesome but not as good as Ella's right across the street and neither are as good as Twin Lakes near Sunset Beach.

Sea Merchants is great all around and a popular locals dining establishment in North Myrtle Beach.

Rossi's *used* to be good, but the quality has severely dwindled in the past several years as has the service.

Angelo's is, indeed quite good, especially, as Maverick suggests, their steak.

Sea Captain's House - totally awesome, especially for a date.

Mammy's Kitchen - crap for tourists.

Pier 14 - Haven't eaten there in many years, but it used to be quite decent.

Avoid buffets like the plague as well as chain seafood restaurants (e.g. Landry's Seafood House), but if you must combine them, I suppose I'd suggest The Crab House in Barefoot Landing.

If you venture up to North Myrtle Beach, Hoskins Restaurant on Main Street has the best seafood platter in the city. Period. End of story.

The Grillhouse, also in N. Myrtle Beach is quite good and reasonably priced.

Chesapeake House is quite good as is Chestnut Hill (esp. for brunch) or Cagney's (they are all across from each other in Restaurant Row).

Flamingo Seafood Bar and Grill is quite good as well.

Bimini's Oyster Bar is excellent.

Villa Mare

Best Italian I've ever had. Prices were good- around $15 but that included bread, soup & salad - portion sizes are huge (lasted me 3 meals). It's a small restaurant and I'd say they mostly serve the locals as they don’t stay open too late.

I've never found anywhere in Myrtle Beach that was all that good. The one place I liked was Thoroughbreds. It's a pretty fancy steakhouse, and it's good, but the prices are really high.

Definitely! I used to go there every year on family vacations, and my parents still go. It is indeed awesome.

Fusco's is also good if you're looking for Italian. It's inside the Beach Colony hotel.

I don't know... but I heard about a study that said that it was the best beach in the world, so there's bound to be plenty of top notch places to eat.

if you eat at the hut, you'll wait outside in line forever. just go to Coleman's Original on the waterfront; same family owns it, it's three times as large, the food is just as good and you will get to eat on the waterfront.

DO NOT eat in Myrtle Beach.

Drive down to Murrells Inlet.

Pick a place on Restaurant Row.

I suggest Lee's Inlet Kitchen.

New York Prime is unbeleivable, but pricey. Kinda like a Ruths Chris.

Murrells Inlet or Calabash for seafood, Umberto's in Barefoot Landing for Italian. If you feel like even more of a drive, the Fish Camp in Pawley's is outstanding; it's in the Hammock Shops and has plenty of non-seafood as well.

I lived in Pawleys Island for about 8 months and my parents have lived in North Myrtle for about 6 years. Franks in Pawleys Island is very famous. There are alot of places in the Hammock Shops (low country stuff as well as the regular stuff you will find in north carolina.
