I know this is a well known and widespread issue. Anyone ever found a solution short of buying an audio delayer (which I will not do)?

This is a widespread problem with Samsungs. So it's not a lemon technically.

The picture is so freakin gorgeous. I don't want to return it. For me it'd be worth it to upgrade the reciever.

FYI the problem is from running at non-native resolution.

Had this problem on two different Samsung DLP sets. Both times it stemmed from me running at 1080i instead of the native 720p. For whatever reason, it's an issue with the upscaling and it introduces the delay.

Run it at native resolution and you *should* hear the problem disappear.

My TV is native 1080p. Of course, none of my sources broadcast that.

All my audio runs through the receiver. The video goes directly to the TV. I believe in as little signal path medium change as possible. This has never caused a delay before on any other TV I've used.

Model: I'm at work, don't remember exactly, something like LN-T4061...

^That's probably the issue then. 1080p native, 1080i source. When you get home, try different output resolutions if you can on your set-top box to see if the delay changes. Also try hooking up a 1080p source (hd dvd player, bluray) and see if you get the same issues.

Run the video through the reciever as well. That should cut out most, if not all, of your delay issues. While AV signals travel at the speed of light, signal processing isn't nearly that fast. Running both audio and video through the reciever should make sure that they both get to your TV at the same time.

Plus, my reciever is audio only. I'm picking up the Denon tonight.
