so..... does that mean he can no longer claim Executive Privilege when supeanaed?
8/13/2007 8:02:43 AM
can he still be indicted now?
8/13/2007 8:03:16 AM
Maybe he's doing this because he would've been indicted, regardless?Either way, this move no doubt has DIABOLICAL motives.[Edited on August 13, 2007 at 8:46 AM. Reason : .]
8/13/2007 8:34:01 AM
rove? diabolical motives? surely you jest
8/13/2007 9:45:06 AM
he wants to run Romney's campaign?
8/13/2007 9:58:44 AM
hahaha ha. man I hope not.CNN is reporting that he's planning on writing a book.
8/13/2007 10:04:07 AM
so, say he retires. what's to keep him from doing the exact same job he does now even if he's not on the payroll?
8/13/2007 10:12:21 AM
^ yeah, i was wondering the same thing. what's to stop him from, you know, hanging out at the White House on his spare time. or using his RNC email accounts to just "keep up with old buddies"
8/13/2007 10:41:18 AM
I'd assume he'll lose his security clearances.
8/13/2007 10:44:10 AM
didn't some other "retired" guy not lose his security clearance recently? i might just be making this up in my head, but i seem to recall that.

What ^ said about the clearance, although I would suspect the President or any high level cabinet official can reinstate his need to know whenever they please.
8/13/2007 11:14:47 AM
^^ i googled every combination I could to try to spell that damned word, and every spelling came up with lots of hits, but i couldn't get "define: ____" to work for any of them, so i just gave up.
8/13/2007 11:39:05 AM
^ next time get rid of the -ed extension...then go from there
8/13/2007 11:52:23 AM
subpoena(ed). latin is a bitch sometimes[Edited on August 13, 2007 at 12:06 PM. Reason : actually, not sure about past tense][Edited on August 13, 2007 at 12:06 PM. Reason : yeah, -ed is right]
8/13/2007 12:05:15 PM
I guess this makes sense, though. What more is there for him to do? This is probably him facing the reality that Bush is a lame duck.Plus, I'd imagine it helps the RNC every time a controversial figure leaves the White House.

8/19/2007 2:51:06 PM
