I ordered a mac mini last Friday during tax-free weekend, even though I suspected the mac mini would be upgraded (or dropped) soon. The other day I got an email saying my order was AUTOMATICALLY upgraded to the new mac mini they released. Intel Core *2* Duo, extra memory, and hard drive. That's amazing to me since they aren't even marketing the update to the mac minis!Since 1 GB memory is standard on the new minis, they removed the charge I was gonna pay for upgrading from 512MB. So I got a MUCH better computer for LESS money without even asking!I've never heard of another company to do such a thing, let alone ones that sell PCs. I bought this mini for my parents because their PC was as undependable as mine, yet my wife's Mac has never failed us. Now I'm tempted to get a mini for myself...

^ I'm gonna hook it up to their TV, surround sound, etc. Got a wireless keyboard/mouse so it'll be awesome in the living room. When someone wants to watch TV at the same time, my dad can just unplug the mini, carry it to the "office" room, and hook it up to the old monitor. Of course, I'm gonna have to set it all up.Plus, $400 is a big chunk of change![Edited on August 10, 2007 at 4:04 PM. Reason : vs. imac]
