My cat's one eye is all runny and she has it half closed. Otherwise she's eating, sleeping, and bothering me like normal. No sneezing or breathing issues. Is this something serious that requires vet, or could it just be she got something in her eye?

Might be infected, and the vet would give you some kind of drops and/or antibiotics. I wouldn't mess around too long or you may end up with a blind cat.

She could've poked her eye. Our cat Paco does it all the time. Her eye closure lasts for AT MOST 24 hours.

If the stuff coming from your cat's eye is just clear, like tears, I'm sure this is the case. If its chunky and nasty looking, well, then I think you may have something else on your hands.

Took her to the vet today. Apparently she has a bacterial infection that she got from the adoption place. Oh well, the vet said it'd clear up in a few days with lots of antibiotics and eyedrops.

Either way, $180 for a cat I just adopted 2 weeks ago is crappy

I'd say yeah, I should have waited, if the mucas was clear. However, it was green and yellow...not normal kitty leakage.
