So I did my first walk of my condo last friday and since it's a small kitchen they installed a microwave but it also has oven buttons so you can bake in your microwave...

should this be trusted? I haven't really heard much about it.

There is a new model oven by Kenmore or something that is an oven, microwave, toaster, and something else in one.

If it's somewhat new, it might be legit. I think these came out a little while ago as a new way to "evenly cook food" by using microwave heating to warm the inside while using a regular heating element to warm the outside.

SOMETHING like that.

I'd trust it if it was fairly recent.

[Edited on August 6, 2007 at 7:54 PM. Reason : I wouldn't trust it if it was off-brand or old or really cheap looking.]

thats the microwave/oven

and it is fancy pants towers but I got a really really tiny apartment haha

it is brand new and I have never seen it on the market either. I tried googling it to find it at stores and nothing. Hell last friday was the first time I had walked into the place and they are still doing construction on floors above me.

Omar..I have a stove but only two burners. It's a microwave, but on the microwave itself there is an Oven/Bake button. The place is about 182,900. Not bad for where it is located.

how big is it?

my apartment is just over 300 sf and full of love.

you never realize how little space you need until you squeeze all yours and your gfs shit into 300 sf.

it's called trademark...I'm excited! I close on the 24th.

and I think it might be sunbeam? Not too certain but that sounds familiar.

^yea I will most likely only have a couch and a chair

i'm confused as to how you decided to spend 180k and you don't even know the brand or model # of the shit you purchased....it seems like you didn't even know what you were getting - did you read the paperwork at all? have you tried calling trademark?

we didn't buy it from the builder, we bought it from the previous owner, who had to move out of nc before it was finished being built. And the model # etc is all in the condo, we didn't write it down.

you can still call trademark and ask them - it doesn't matter who you bought it from - if they are still selling they were probably still there an hour ago - did the original buyer make any money on the deal?

it's charlotte

it looks like a convection/microwave oven. these are generally relatively expensive compared to regular microwaves. they cook foods much faster than conventional ovens without making it taste like you nuked it.

of course the buyer made money on the deal, but if we bought it from the builder, that apartment price would have been a lot higher.

Just make sure you remember to take the baking sheet out when switching between oven and microwave mode.

because it's so convenient that the grocery store is close enough to walk to that you'll want to go more often

is there at least a pantry?

Yeah, and you can't store anything in the fridge.

You can't really keep alot of leftovers or things frozen to keep costs down.

Yeaah they're really worthwhile

uh no bunk beds i'm having a queen size bed in my bedroom we pretty much bought it because of the location and it's a pretty damn safe building. Wouldn't you want to live 3 blocks away from the bobcat arena and 2 blocks away from the proposed baseball stadium and park?

I see nothing wrong with living the Condo life while young and without a family to support. Its not like you will be able to fit all of your stuff in one of these in ten years.

The condo is a good investment.

It probably has a killer location, with little or no drive to work.

It has all luxury trim and a view.

I want to see more pics.

heck i cant fit everything i have into 480 sq ft now unless i stored some stuff other places. im living by myself in an 1100 sq ft apartment, and while im certainly not cramped, im definitely utilizing every room and its not just stuff that doesnt get used either.

to be fair i have a lot of music equipment and stuff tho so its a little different probably

does the microwave/oven have an option for special codes? We just remodeled my house and put a nice big one in downstairs and it has a huge manual with all these codes for the right balance of microwave and convection. finding a manual would be worth it prob.

hm we saw the manual but didnt really had time to go through it. My final walk through is next friday so i'll probably be going through a lot with it.

I really don't need much space, you just need to make sure you have enough storage. Plus I'm not planning on living here for more than 5 years. Within the next 3 years we could probably sell the place for double of what we paid for it.

it'll probably appreciate - but the appreciation on a 480sqft 1br condo with no oven/minifridge/2 burner stove in charlotte is likely to be nowhere near double the current value

unless the Price to SF ratio in Charlotte is nearly equal to Manhattan's in 2010.
