are being released straight to dvd.Its a couple of episodes strung together as a "movie". I just bought that set at best buy, it was just released a few days ago.And its not the last, they are trying to do several focused around small groups of the original cast. I'm looking forward to possible new G'Kar/Lyta focused episodes. The scenes of human/centari ships battling with technological upgrades set about 30 years after the series ended was cool. Most of the episodes though were set not that long after the series ended though. I'm glad to see babylon 5 isn't over.

the guy who played G'kar is dead. Along with the guy who played the black doctor (Franklin?)

I knew the doctor died. I didn't know g'kar died. I guess that gives g’kars monologue at the beginning some double meaning then.I still think it was a smart move returning to clusters of the original cast, rather than the mistakes they made with crusade. Also being straight to dvd will help rather than being bound by network's restrictions/input.[Edited on August 5, 2007 at 3:07 PM. Reason : .][Edited on August 5, 2007 at 3:15 PM. Reason : .]

The legacy of bad acting continues

Don't buy this. While the new CGI is nice, there isn't a lot of it and the "movie" itself is pretty sub-par. I still don't like Lockley and I hate how they can't get navy and army ranks straight. Lockly went from a captian to a colonel which is the same damned rank (O6).

JM Straczynski, in addition to doing babylon 5, has also done some comics. I haven’t read any of his fantastic four or other stuff, but I’ve followed the amazing spiderman lately, and the new Thor series. Also they threw in a line about Stephen joining G'kar's exploring, and that they had gone exploring beyond the rim.[Edited on August 5, 2007 at 5:01 PM. Reason : the dvd also had a sort of trailer for a "death of superman" animated movie coming out this fall]

"The music is composed by Christopher Franke, who also did the music for the original Babylon 5 series."I'm glad for that as well. I enjoyed the way the music was done, especially for battle scenes, more with the original series than with crusade.

^^Riight. Dark lighting is a common way to cheap out on effects because, gasp, they don't have to model details since you can't see them.Anyway, no amount of CG makes a bad show worth watching.[Edited on August 5, 2007 at 5:08 PM. Reason : sd]
