Has anyone noticed roadrunner capping download speeds lately? I have been d/l'ing some stuff via usenet using a non-RR newshost and my speeds are like half of what they normally are. Normally I would be seeing somewhere around 7.2 - 7.4Mbps and now I rarely go above 4.5Mbps. Ran reverse traceroutes to the newshost and they were fine (less than 10ms). Everything has been rebooted (modem, router, comp). I have run a few different speed tests online and they are all showing my d/l and u/l speeds as being what they should be with RR Turbo. So what's the deal? Is RR capping certain ports? If so, what can I do about this? (and to head off the high and mighty, I am not downloading illegal stuff, so save the sermon.)

Perhaps the result of TWCs new Packet Shaping campaing?http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r18468495-TWC-TW-Officially-Announces-Packet-Shaping-for-All-RR-Users

1) You are using a shared connection2) Latency to your news server is not related to your throughput3) stop downloading so much porn
