So i got a ticket a couple of months back, ended up going to court and getting a PJC. A couple of hours ago I got pulled on 264 for 15 over as I was passing a guy by some prick on a motorcycle. He only wrote the ticket for 9 miles over so it'll stay off of my insurance. He said it wasn't a mandatory court appearance, but I thought because of the stipulations of the PJC ill now be charged with both offenses, I'm guessing they'll just send me a letter in the mail or something to that effect? Very limited experience, any input on just how their system works would be helpful. Thanks.-kr

He's not going to find his answer in 45 speeding ticket threads without 5 - 6 days worth of reading.Just answer his question. If you can't, then don't post.[Edited on August 2, 2007 at 12:44 PM. Reason : .]

I just think people get way to panicky when people ask a question when the answer is potentially buried in 85 threads. Plus, a lot of these circumstances are different.

no one cares what you think

For future reference you want to save your pjc as a last resort. Next time this happens (it happens to everyone) go to court and get the ticket reduced to nine over then use your pjc on the next one you get. I forget how many years it has to before you are able to do it again.
8/2/2007 12:52:47 PM
there is a speeding ticket thread about pjc twice a week at least, the laws havent changed since last week and gunzz is right about using searchhe is the wrong person to be a dick to

3 years, minimum, for PJC. I had to use one today for not completely stopping at a stop sign.Save PJC's for things that cannot be reduced. There is no lesser charge for a stop sign, red light, etc. so PJC can save your but there. A speeding ticket can almost always be reduced.Call James Crouch. http://www.manningcrouch.com/They wll tell you what your options are for free. In all likelihood the fees for a lawyer on this case will be much cheaper than the increase to your insurance premiums.Oh, and Court Costs are now $120, not $110 that you see on your ticket and the website. Apparently the change was effective 8/1/07

every household is allowed one 9 over AND one PJC per 3 years to avoid insurance points.
