I dont get the usual "series of hiccups" that require most people to either hold their breath/drink lots of water/etc. For me, it's just one random, loud as hell hiccup. It's embarassing and uncontrollable. Well, they've been happening more and more frequently lately and I'm starting to wonder if there is something wrong with my lungs or diaphragm. Do any of you know someone that has something like this?

I get violent hiccups a few times a year. they're loud as hell, uncontrolable, I can't get rid of them for a while, and it even hurts sometimes. I don't get hiccups at all otherwise, but I guess I make up for it when I do.

I get those single big ones once every couple days.
