I'm about to put an Xbox 360 into a TV stand. Given the heat issues, I want to install a 120mm PC fan in the back of the stand. How does one go about getting power to a 4-prong fan? I have an extra PC PSU lying around, if that's an option.

the psu would work but it will be another fan making more noiseor what i did (in a similar situation) was just to by a generic 12 VDC power supply from radio shack, just make sure you have enough amps to run the fan on that power supplychopped up the end and wired it to the fanplugged it into my receiver (it has some 120 VAC outlets to turn stuff on when you turn on the recevier) and i was good to go

^What he said. Or take the AC adapter plug from another DC device you never use anymore. Cut the wires and solder to a fan with similar voltage requirements.

i've done the exact same thing in my TV stand (solid wood enclosure, massive heat issue), just used a 12v power brick from RadioShack with bare wires (added a molex connection for easy removal)
