Um, that's far from the truth. From my experience the Raleigh Flickr group gives mad respect to film photography.

Here's an example of one of the members:

You're an idiot. Everyone pays for a lot of stuff they don't use. I have never used the dorms, the pool or tennis courts, most of the library, hell, even Carter Finley stadium. However, my tuition maintains those things regardless of my participation.

Yeah just go hang out with the Raleigh Flickr group. They are all really cool people, although most of them are beyond college now (but they don't have anything against hanging out with younger people). I've met up with some of them before and they are all great.

Also they have nothing against film, as a matter of fact (like pochacco pointed out) many of them prefer or at least shoot with film sometimes. I don't think you can take photography seriously without getting experience with film at least a little bit.

Haha, I love the little 110 camera at the front of that group. I had one of those when I was a kid...ah, forgotten types of film...(my parents also had a 126 camera, anyone remember those?)

If anyone is interested, Professor John Wall (English) is a damn fine photographer and sells his stuff regularly. He would be the one to talk to if you were interested in starting a club/group and needed a Professor to Chair it.
