so are you staying in the band for good
7/30/2007 4:41:22 PM
as long as i can. our drummer is finishing his senior year in HS, our vocalist and other guitarist are in their last year of college, and our bassist works full time atm too. so we have at least another year before I might possibly be holding them back. right now i have been / plan on continuing to drive up at least 2 weekends a month, sometimes 3 to practice. every other week i get fridays off which means i leave after work thursday and im in raleigh thurs, fri, sat, sun on the weekends im in town, which is a decent amount of time. We have 2-3 shows a month scheduled for the fall all over NC and hopefully back into VA again and maybe even atlanta, so we'll be keeping it pretty active even givin our limited time.my main focus personally and somewhat as a band too is actually new material at the moment anyways which is nice because it doesnt require me to be around as much even tho i do i miss having as much creative input so yea, long answer, but it was hard to give a yes or no haha. i plan to be until i feel im significantly holding the band back. this band was kind of my vision originally, and some awesome guys fell into place for it, and its hard to think about giving it up ever edit: eh i know the response probably seems cheesy, but after being in a band for 4 years with guys that are the definition of best friends through thick and thin, leaving the band would mean a lot more to me than not making music anymore[Edited on July 30, 2007 at 4:57 PM. I grew up with Josh and his older brother-- we have known each other since we were two. This was huge for them to get signed to that label, as their previous deal was really fucking them over.Hopefully, they'll come out with something soon, as I hear they have worked on material during this "down time" and fight with their former label.
