Yeah, never heard that about cats though.

I usually like cats but if I saw that one coming towards me, I'd definitely tell it to GTFO.
7/25/2007 10:18:49 PM
So how do they know that the cat isn't a serial killer?Oh, and someone please make a "Im in yur nersing home killing yer doodz" pic
7/25/2007 11:33:32 PM
Every time I've been within four hours of death, I couldn't give a fuck if a cat came and sat next to me.

I'm very allergic to cats. I would hate to be in a nursing home and have one plop down next to me. I would probably have an allergic reaction that would trigger significant difficulty breathing. Maybe the cat isn't helping these people.

Ever wonder how centuries ago people came up with the idea that cats would suck the life out of people?
7/26/2007 5:45:25 AM
Man, that sucks... obviously all the residents would figure it out too... so like CharlesHF said,

there's probably hormones/biochemicals released when the body is all "please standby windows is shutting down"; and i bet certain animals can detect them. its nothing paranormal, we just don't understand the phenomenon yet. we'll just call it a sixth sense for now.

So does the cat ever curl up next to someone who doesn't die? Cats sleep.. a lot... people die at nursing homes a lot... shocker that a cat would sleep near someone who dies.
7/26/2007 9:49:34 AM
^^ Sleepwalkers?
7/26/2007 10:19:45 AM
YES! Sleepwalkers!
7/26/2007 10:22:58 AM
If that cat came up to me I'd grab it by the neck and say "you first."
7/26/2007 12:26:53 PM
He'd just be taunting you with his nine lives is all.
7/26/2007 12:32:39 PM
And then the nurse would have to explain why Grandpa strangled a cat shortly before he died.Thats a great way to traumatize the grandkids.

the chit chat thread is fine
