I am looking to buy a smaller rabbit to keep in my apartment next year. Any suggestions of good places to find one? Or if anyone knows of someone that is looking to get rid of a well behaved rabbit please let me know!

The best place I've ever found small rabbits was at the NC Reptile and Exotic Animal Show (first weekend of September) at the fairgrounds. There was a nice old guy there the last two times at one of the first tables who breeds Norwegian Dwarfs. They are the sweetest breeds I have ever encoutered. If you can't find one from an owner here, try him at the reptile show in a month or so. I'm sure he'll be there again. I trust breeders from that show far more than pet stores. I got my blue quaker parrot from that show, paid less than at a pet store, and got a sweeter bird than they breed, so I'm sure you'd get a sweet, gentle rabbit.

Oh, if you get a female rabbit, don't forget to get her spayed. They always get cancer if not.

I'm selling one. She's very friendly. She is a Netherland Dwarf from Bentwillow Bunnies (A local breeder).

Hit search and look at my post: Netherland Dwarf Bunny

i have a big bunny, she's pretty amazing, i don't have to keep her caged. phoebe's uber calm and will just sit with you and stuff. i have a big...pan thing...it's the bottom of what once was a cage. if you put her in there, she'll stay there day in and day out. if you put her anywhere near it and walk out of the room she'll hop in it. anywho, i got hay and food that would go with her. she is spayed, and she's about four and a half years old.
if you're not serious about keeping up with her and all that great affectionate stuff, then you know, i'd rather just keep her around.
