US Attorneys work for the executive branch.

Right. Had Bush proclaimed he was firing them for political reasons then everything would have been fine, no need for investigations to determine if they were fired for political reasons. They work for him, he can fire them for whatever reason his sick/twisted mind comes up with. What everyone is upset about is the apparent cover-up.

Will the neocon trifecta be complete? Will the men bush wanted installed in the SC rule in his favor, effectively making him a dictator? If that were to happen, would the Democrats have the balls to impeach?http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/07/25/house.contempt/index.html?eref=rss_politicsI just don't get how this shit continues to always fall on party lines. The two parties as is are so close ideologically, that it makes basic sense that you would see defectors to one side of the issue or the other from time to time.

I sure am glad that there is nothing of more importance to be done in Washington than to go mucking around on political fishing expeditions and pissing pants over absolutely nothing. Man, these Democrats sure are getting to the heart of what needs to be done to help the US, aren't they? I mean, it's really important to go snooping around trying to find out what everyone already knows: the attorneys were fired for political reasons. The bullshit is that even if Congress "proves" that the attorneys were fired for political reasons, there is NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. It's one big fucking waste of time! WHO FUCKING CARES?And they get all indignant that the aides won't show up. Well, no fucking wonder they aren't showing up. It's a fucking fishing expedition, and Congress is WAY beyond it's authority in asking about something as menial and benign as this. It really IS an invasion of the executive branch's, for lack of a better word, "privacy" to go asking aides about this kind of shit. From the article:
