What kind of tape is this? I got it out of a camcorder from the 80s I bought and I want to see that is on it.

Are you not able to hook the camera up to a TV and play the tape through the camera?

solder a coaxial cable to a very strong magnet, connect the other end to your video in for the tvwind the tape alongside the magnet - it will look blurry, but should clear up at least by midway through the tape, once you find the right speed

It's 8mm P6-60 Hi-8 film i believe. Many video editing places might have a player for it. ^or do that.

^What?Yes, it is definitely a hi-8, though I don't know anyone anymore that has a camcorder in that format. Try looking for one online, or see if any friends or relatives have an old one. It used to be a fairly common format.
