I was wondering. What is the process of getting another undergraduate degree from State if you have already graduated from here. Do you have reapply all over again with a highschool transcript etc etc.

I have some of the prereqs for engineering and I have all the humanities covered. What's the policy on alumi returning for another undergrad.

how long has it been since you graduated?

all you need to do is readmit - http://www.ncsu.edu/registrar/forms/pdf/readmit.pdf

Are you sure you just can't get a graduate degree in your new field after taking a few prereqs? That's much better than doing another undergraduate.[Edited on July 16, 2007 at 10:52 PM. Reason : Math is applicable to practically every major.]

Hmm, graduate school I guess it would be the same thing since you can take undergrad classes. Also, would you happen to start with a new GPA.

if you want to go to graduate school at NCSU you have to apply through the Graduate School (http://www.ncsu.edu/grad). new GPAif you want to do another undergrad you must readmit (http://www.ncsu.edu/registrar/forms/pdf/readmit.pdf). same GPAif you want to take courses not in a degree program, you can apply through lifelong education (http://www.ncsu.edu/cpss). new GPA

So you have a BS in Applied Math, and want to do a BS/BE in engineering?Don't be silly dude!Get an MS/ME in engineering. Imagine telling someone:Yeah I have a BS in math and a BS in x engineeringas opposed toYeah I have a BS in math and an MS in x engineeringNot to mention, all the financial benefits of doing an MS (greater cumulative earnings over a lifetime).

^ Agreed. You might have to take a few pre-req classes once you were in a masters program, but it is much better time-wise/money-wise/academically/professionally. My experiences with seeing people go back for 2nd degrees is usually for nursing (they were previously music/english/etc majors).[Edited on July 17, 2007 at 6:10 PM. Reason : .]
