I'm not due for an annual ear-bleeding.

I think I'll skip this.

in general ive usually hated most the bands on the local stage that they pick for some reason. idea of beauty are good guys tho.

the 2002 warped tour (i think that was the year) had an amazing local stage at the warped tour. two of the acts on it were Beloved and Hopesfall (before satellite years was out too) among others

sounds about right. thursday was there that year. i also saw alkaline trio i think (not very good live tho) and a few others.

but at the time of that show, seeing hopesfall, beloved, thursday in one day for me was awesome as i was really into all of them. perfect time for them all too: thursday only had 'waiting' and 'full collapse' out, beloved had their old old cd and 'the running' out and hopesfall as i said before just had 'frailty of words' and 'no wings to speak of' out...so yea all the bands were playing their best songs imo

i'm fairly certain it comes to va beach every year.

the year i went, it didn't rain...and yeah jamie, alkaline trio was there, too, and their set was awful.

the used was there, too. Bert vomited. IT WAS SO KEWL.

Because Tommy from Tragic Hero reallllllly knows how to promote bands and puts a TON of time and money into them.

they got a full page ad in AP magazine for more than one month, the highest ad priority on purevolume.com (the top featured band where they were getting thousands and thousands of plays a day because of the ad), as well as got to open for some big tours. and yea, thatll do it

Anybody know why Killswitch decided not to show up?

Tiger Army owned, so did It Dies Today, Throwdown, and The Human Abstract.

ugh i cant stand throwdown or it dies today. Throwdown puts on a decent live show but theyre a pantera rip off + hardcore band and it dies today sounds like EVERY OTHER cliche metalcore band out there - besides the fact that most of them do it better than IDT anyways.

i can write a new IDT song on guitar in the next 5 mins thats how predictable they are

oh and PS im not trying to be a prick to you personally, im glad you enjoyed them, and glad to have another metal fan around.

I mean i listened to it dies today 6 years ago or so and loved them the first time i heard them when i was first getting into metal/metalcore and still pop in their first stuff for nostalgia value, but theres a lot more bands out there doing more interesting stuff to me personally these days that are still in the same general vein.
