I just took it in SSI, the form tests are important, the bonus points really aren't, and the essay tests are graded pretty strictly.

I had this guy my freshman year. I still hate him with a passion. He was the absolute worst professor I have ever had, and he changed the grading scale half way through the semester

I took this class last summer. It was really easy, just watch the dvds and take good notes and the essays and form tests will just be regurgitation.

Does we have to read for the class? It doesn't seem like it, he never mentions reading the JSTOR material in his emails.

People who think Middleton is hard, simply can't follow instructions.
When I had him, he made everything he wanted crystal clear.
He's a stickler for the rules, but I learned more in that class than most I took at State.
Personally, I like teacher who hold me to some sort of standard.
Good luck with the class. If you procrastinate or don't go to class, you will fail.

^That was my problem. He kept revising the syllabus and changing the grading scale. I remember the day after the drop date, he released a new version of the syllabus with a new grading scale, that significantly dropped the grades in our class. Not just what percentage things would count, but he changed the A+/A- grading scale. Essentially, he changed it so that you couldn't miss a point (out of 500) to get an A in the class. He also would send out an email to change the paper topic the night before it was due.

I had him back in 03. Everyone made sure they paid attention in his class because he would call 5 random people to the front of the room after each lecture to have them summarize what he said.

haha yeah, well I took 8 hours in SSII, so time was a factor. I made sure I was in decent enough shape in all my classes so that I would be ok for some slacking for the finals. I needed those 8 hours to graduate with a job in hand, so a D- wouldve been fine by me, but I managed a C
