this may be a long shot but i know a few of you live here. i need to board my 2 dogs along w/ my brother's 2 dogs in august. we're thinking Down East Kennel & Supply. Pet's Best Friend (in-home pet sitting) is not an option for this trip. does anyone have any suggestions or know of somewhere to avoid?

Hahaha I couldn't help get the mental image of someone surfing on a dog when I read the title to this thread.

I know a lot of the vet offices board dogs.

Take it to Hicks animal hospital. Those people are great.

yeah, our vet does but they just sit in little cages all day (walked 3x a day). i'm looking for more of a kennel where they can go in and out in a bigger cage whenever they want.i will never take another one of my animals to Hicks, but that's another story. Vet boarding isn't a bad idea for shorter trips, in that the pet is in good hands if they get sick or injured. How long of a car ride can the dogs handle? I mean if you aren’t going to be there with them anyways, there’s no reason to limit yourself to just the city you live in, maybe you’ll have more results if you cast your net a bit wider?____"bttt last chance for responses, i'm making reservations today..."And this is why one should read the entire thread before responding.
