wondering if anyone might be able to tell me why my car makes a rattling noise as it is accelerating. it tends to make the noise soon before it shifts into the next gear. is there any way possible for me to have it fixed b/c it's kinda annoying. thank you in advance for any helpful information.

I fixed my heat shield on the KLR by jamming wads of aluminum foil between it and the exhaust. haha

i, being a n00b, dont know what having a loose heat shield is. maybe someone can enlighten me, and maybe give me an idea of how much i can expect to pay should i decide to have someone fix it for me. thank you for any helpful info.

start it up, get a friend to set the parking brake, hold the brake, put it in gear and rev it while you find the rattle
