Which ones do you recommend? Looking for ankle support and cushioningAnyone know a good site with reviews? Googling doesn't turn up anything good for basketball. Would be nice if there were a list of shoes by position.

Yeah I would recommend Starburys if you want to go cheap, they are pretty comfy and cheap enough to not care about wearing them out.But you must be crazy if you think they are the same quality as Jordans. I have 2 pairs and wear them all the time, but they aren't great quality shoes.

They look kind of low. Definitely need that high top.

you want ankle support? go old school and go with converse

I got a pair of the Starbury shoes for Christmas, but returned them b/c they were too wide for my foot.I wouldn't get nike shox, b/c they are prone to the sole ripping if you play hard enough.I like the Nike Air Max 180.Oh and if you are worried about your ankles, high tops don't do much for support. The ASO ankle brace is the best by far and worth the extra money.

^high tops do help though......my ankles have always given me trouble playing in sneakers. So this past year i went out and got some high top shoes and i haven't rolled my ankle since. Could just be luck, but for me it seems to help

^High tops do give more support than mid or low tops. But for people at risk of medium to serious ankle sprains, high tops aren't enough. Its not a coincidence that the majority of the athletes in college and pros that wear ankle braces are ASO braces. And usually their ankles are taped if they don't wear braces.

Looking for some Jordans, I have some retro's that are brand new and I will sell. I have the Retro IV's military blue/white (size 10.5) or the retro XII playoffs (black/white/silver, Size 11). COntact me if anyone wants to buy them. Also have some XI's but slightly worn and Mars IV's slightly worn. Jordans are the best basketball shoes out there, hands down! email me at smsumner@ncsu.edu

I would definitely buy some huarachesthey are some of the best basketball shoes ive ever owned they are light, offer great ankle support and are really grippy on hardwood and they look pretty good as wellI have only tried the huarache 2k5 so im not sure about the newer ones but they are probably just as good if not better
