So, my lease ends at the end of July, gotta find a place to live. I've been wanting to live in Crescent Ridge (in Raleigh off Tryon) for a while, found a few a places I've seen with an agent, and I wanted to see if anyone knew any info on the properties there before I start bidding on them this week. I just graduated, makin bank, so thought I'd treat myself to a decent home. If there are any agents out there that could tell me whether this is a good buy, have sold them in the past and people were happy with them, and whether the resale value has been good. One thing about the neighborhood is that the homes have appreciated ~14.5% year over year since they were built a few years ago. Anyways, any input from residents/agents/friends of friends/ about the pros/cons of the place would helpful before I write the check.

This is MLS listing for two of them

Yahoo map of the location

A few we'll be bidding/deciding on this week:
4514 Sugarbend Dr.
4526 Sugarbend Dr.
5333 Crescent View Dr.

Thanks!

When they were going up they were selling faster than they could be built. Its a nice product in a dynamite location.

I would not expect to keep getting 14.5% appreciation on them though. That was the product of a great market and the strong sales & marketing abilities of a national homebuilder. The values will probably level off and say sort of stagnant for a while, most brand new communities go through this.

Thats just my guess.

They were nice enough places, but ultimately I bought down the road for a little bit more money.

Though I don't really use my garage, the fact that the Crescent Ridge townhouses didn't have one was a turnoff.

Don't know a lot of the details, but my brother and his wife live there and they love it.

I live in Crescent Ridge, and I've been pretty happy living here. Almost 2 years now.
