Yeah, the ticket doesn't work. The President has to be the Alpha figure in the combo and the VP has to be low key, non-controversial, and non-threatening.Bloomberg is none of these.I don't even know why his name comes up, he has no shot at winning.

I think we could have Bloomberg as a VPI mean for gods sake, we elected Cheney and he is arguably the most hated man in contemporary American politics.

VP to who? Not Gore. Not the Republicans. Hillary? No. Edwards? No. Richardson? Maybe. Obama? Maybe.
6/28/2007 5:29:42 PM
Bloomberg would never agree to be a VP.

it seems like that ticket could pull a lot of voters or somethingit gives three possible choices for president
6/28/2007 5:38:27 PM
what do you mean 3 possible choices?
6/28/2007 5:51:28 PM
republican/democrat/ gore/bloobmer
6/28/2007 6:21:04 PM
Bloomberg isn't a Republican.

Guiliani = liberal(ish) New YorkerClinton = liberal New YorkerBloomberg = liberal New Yorker.Again, I ask, what does Bloomberg bring to the race that isn't already there? Nothing, not a damn thing. His popularity is based on the same thing that gave Powell popularity when he was pondering it a few years back and that gives Thompson popularity now . . . he is an alternative that people project their personal wishes upon because he is a political blank slate to 90% of the country. Given the current political trend against globalization, I can't imagine the electorate voting for a man who has profited so heavily from it. If Hillary wins the election, she will be the first northeast Democrat to win since JFK and she will have done it largely on the coat tails of her husband.

Bloomberg.... more so his company than him. and more so their worthless union labor than them.
