I know there has been talk about this class on here before, But I was wondering what to expect on the midterm? Do I need to read and understand the book really well, or would I be okay to just kinda skim through and find the answers as I am taking it?

i'd say about 1/3 of the exam is on science...1/3 on technology...and the final 1/3 on society...

^^^ Yes, you need to read, well, the assigned reading. And no matter what baloney may come after this post, my posts are the only ones that matter concerning this subject--because I created the exams, I grade the exams and all other assignments, and I calculate final grades. ^^ This is not the case. I simply apply Dr. Earnshaw's philosophy of cause-and-effect questioning--he doesn't like catastrophe dates, locations, or body counts. He wants the student to answer what caused a given catastrophe and what was the positive or negative outcome of the incident. It's as simple as that. ^ Correct.
