It isn't quite as deep as that one, it could probably hold an amp, but not a huge one. And I am pretty sure the padding is velveteen. If it turns out not to be, I won't hold you to it.

I would say very good condition on the pad, it was only used for a year. I think it is extra long, however, for a dorm bed so it might need to be cut.
