I'm looking for the original MechAssault game for the xbox - not
"Platinum Hits" or "Game of the Year". The laser etching on the inner ring of the disc says "MS02301L".

Wanted to buy or borrow.

just go to gamestop/eb and tell them the kind you want. they'll know what you are doing and get you the correct version (that's what I did).

I did mine using splinter cell and had great success

another benefit of using splinter cell is that any version works

I tried Edward McKay and Babbages in Crabtree, and they didn't have the correct version.

I didn't know you could do it with 007 or Splinter Cell. I guess I'll see if I can find those. Thanks for the tips!

haha yeah, the game sucks.... bought it when it first came out without even playing it beforehand...pretty good idea
